What is gum disease treatment?

Gum disease treatment stops and reverses the infection that causes bleeding, swollen gums, bad breath, and — if left untreated — loose teeth and bone loss. At SmilePath Dental in Mansarovar, Jaipur, we treat both early gum disease (gingivitis) and advanced cases (periodontitis) with deep cleaning and, where needed, further gum care, helping your gums become healthy and firm again. Catching it early is simple and inexpensive — leaving it is what gets costly. Your first checkup is free.

What to expect

We start by examining your gums and gently measuring the pockets around your teeth to see how far the disease has progressed. The main treatment is a deep clean — scaling and root planing — that removes the hardened tartar and bacteria from below the gum line, which brushing can't reach. For comfort, this may be done over a couple of sessions.

Your gums then begin to heal, tighten, and reattach. We review your progress and show you exactly how to keep the area clean at home. Advanced cases may need minor gum surgery, which we'll explain fully if it applies to you.

Who it's for

Gum disease treatment is for anyone in Jaipur with bleeding or swollen gums, persistent bad breath, receding gums, or teeth that have started to feel loose. It's especially important if you smoke, use tobacco, or have diabetes, as these raise your risk — and early treatment is simple and highly effective.
