Is a root canal really painless?
Yes — with modern anaesthesia, a root canal should feel no worse than a routine filling. The pain people remember is usually the infected tooth itself, and the root canal is what takes that pain away. At SmilePath Dental in Mansarovar, Jaipur, we've built our root canal care around nervous patients: numbing gel before any injection, slow and gentle anaesthesia, checking you're fully numb before we start, and a hand signal so you can ask us to pause at any moment. You stay in control the whole time. Pricing is transparent with easy EMI options, and you'll get an exact quote at your free consultation.

What to expect
If you're nervous, tell us — it changes how we work. We'll explain each step before we do it and agree a stop signal (usually raising a hand). We apply numbing gel to the gum, then give the anaesthetic slowly, and wait until the tooth is completely numb. If you can still feel anything, we add more before going any further.
During the treatment you'll feel vibration and pressure, but not pain. Afterwards the tooth may feel tender for a day or two — over-the-counter pain relief is usually all you need. Most patients tell us it was far easier than they'd feared.
Who it's for
This page is for anyone in Jaipur who needs a root canal but is anxious about pain — whether you've had a bad dental experience before, feel nervous in the dental chair, or have been putting off treatment because of fear. Delaying usually makes the infection, and the pain, worse, so it's worth coming in early.
