When should my child have their first dental checkup?
A child's first dental checkup should happen by their first birthday, or within six months of the first tooth coming in. It's a short, gentle visit: we count and check the teeth, look at the gums and bite, spot early decay, and talk to you about brushing, feeding, teething and habits like thumb-sucking. Starting early means problems are caught when they're tiny, and your child learns that the dentist is a friendly place — not a scary one. At SmilePath Dental in Mansarovar, Jaipur, your child's first checkup is free, and we keep it relaxed and fun.

What to expect
For babies and toddlers, the checkup is often done with your child sitting on your lap. We gently look at the teeth and gums, check for early decay or white spots, and look at how the bite and jaws are developing. Older children sit in the chair and may have a quick clean, fluoride or sealants if helpful.
We spend most of the time with you — showing the right way to brush your child's teeth, talking about bottles, sweets and snacks, and answering your questions. We aim for your child to leave smiling and happy to come back.
Who it's for
Kids' dental checkups are for children in Mansarovar and across Jaipur from their first tooth onwards — the very first visit, routine six-monthly checks, or when you've noticed something like a spot on a tooth, bleeding gums, crooked teeth coming in, or a lingering thumb-sucking habit.
