What is bite correction?

Bite correction fixes the way your upper and lower teeth meet when you close your mouth. A bite that's off — an overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite or deep bite — isn't just about looks: it can wear teeth down unevenly, strain the jaw joint, cause headaches, make chewing or speaking harder, and trap food. At SmilePath Dental in Mansarovar, Jaipur, our Invisalign-certified orthodontists diagnose exactly what type of bite you have and correct it with braces, clear aligners, or — for growing children — appliances that guide the jaw. Pricing is transparent with easy EMI options, and you'll get an exact quote at your free consultation.

What to expect

We start with an orthodontic assessment — photos, X-rays and a digital scan — to see how your teeth and jaws meet and why. We then explain your bite type in plain language and the options that suit it: braces or aligners for most adults and teens, and growth-guiding appliances for children whose jaws are still developing.

Treatment moves the teeth (and in children, guides the jaw) gradually into a healthier bite, with regular check-ins. Once it's corrected, a retainer holds the result. In rare, severe adult cases a jaw surgeon may also be involved — we'll tell you upfront if that applies.

Who it's for

Bite correction is for anyone in Jaipur whose teeth don't meet properly — upper teeth that stick out far over the lower ones, lower teeth in front of the upper ones, teeth that don't touch at the front, or a bite that's shifted to one side. It's also worth checking if you have jaw pain, clicking, frequent headaches, or teeth wearing down unevenly.

Who can benefit
  • Overbite — upper front teeth sticking out over the lower ones

  • Underbite — lower teeth sitting in front of the upper teeth

  • Crossbite — some upper teeth biting inside the lower teeth

  • Open bite — front teeth that don't touch when you bite

  • Jaw pain, clicking, headaches or uneven tooth wear
